Stream of Consciousness Sunday ~ 3/4/12

socs

Welcome to the Stream of Consciousness Sunday link up which I co-host with my BBF (best blogging friend) Shari from Rain Into Rainbows! Find out more information about SOCS here.

By the by, I'm writing these things as the week progresses, so if things seem out of order or strange for it to be occurring on a certain day, it's because I've been working on this post for a week. :D

Getting good mail can just change the course of my day. Love getting goodies or packages or really anything that's not a bill or junk mail! :D

Am I the only who keeps accidentally writing 2011? I can't believe it's March 2012 already!!!!!

We went to the credit union yesterday to open checking and savings accounts. When we first walked in, there was an information desk to check in at if you needed something that the tellers couldn't help with. There was a man in line ahead of us. Apparently he wanted to open an account just like we did. The woman at the information desk told him he would need his driver's license and social security card in order to open an account. He got really upset saying he hadn't seen his social security card since the 1970's. She told him he could go to the social security office to get a replacement. He claimed it was more work than he was willing to do and stormed out of the credit union. My thought as all of this was going on was, "How in the world can you function with your social security card especially for over 40 years? You have to have a social security card when you start a new job, so how has this guy functioned without it?" So strange! By the by, we had our social security cards and driver's licenses so we were able to open accounts. :)

Grab the Stream of Consciousness Sunday button and use it in your post and if you'd like, we'd love it if you would put the button in your sidebar as well!

  1. I love happy mail as well! :-) It's rare that a week goes by that I don't get a card from a friend or family member. It seriously makes my day!!

And that's odd, really odd, about the SS card. There's just no way you can make it through life without that????
