LOST 6X16 (What They Died For)

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

The icon paintings in my LOST posts for this season were painted by Scott Erickson of The Transpire Project for Chris Seay's book The Gospel According to LOST.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 6X16, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 6, Episode 16 - What They Died For
~Desmond is certainly doing his darnedest to get everyone in the flash sideways to remember to Island. Will they all be drawn to go there? What's the point in making them remember if they don't move forward on doing something about it?
~So beautiful to see Ben's reaction to finding out Richard buried Alex.
~Finally Jacob appears to Jack, Hurley, Sawyer, & Kate. It was interesting to hear the reason for his marking Kate's name out in the cave, but also that it didn't have to stay that way. It was her decision. "It's just a line of chalk."
~Ben appears to jump back to the evil side or does he just hate Widmore so much that he told Not John where to find him. Ben is certainly a character!
~Loved seeing Ben & Rousseau together in the flash sideways.
~What did Widmore tell Not John?!!!!? I'm dying to know. And again I ask, is Ben just hating Widmore so much that he's willing to kill him or has his evil self reemerged?
~Still not grasping why Widmore had to bring Desmond back. He said Desmond is a last resort. Hmm......
~Jacob's confession to the 4 & telling them he brought them there because they were all flawed & they needed the island - powerful! And you had to know Jack would be the one who would volunteer. That didn't surprise me at all!
~The power of Jack drinking the water & it giving him all the knowledge he needs was amazing to watch. The change in him was so visibly evident.
~Had to laugh when it was Ana Lucia who helped Desmond, Sayid, & Kate.
~Can't wait to see Desmond's role in all this & get some more answers. It will be an amazing finale for sure!
~That's all for this episode. Can you believe the end is 2 days away! I'd love to hear your thoughts & theories on anything I've written about or something you think I might have missed.

There's my thoughts for what it's worth. Tune in Sunday for LOST 6X17 "The End".

LOST 6X15 (Across the Sea)

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

The icon paintings in my LOST posts for this season were painted by Scott Erickson of The Transpire Project for Chris Seay's book The Gospel According to LOST.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 6X15, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 6, Episode 15 - Across the Sea
~All the history we got through this episode was indeed enlightening!
~Does the crazy lady who kills Claudia remind anyone else of Claire????
~OK, here's my theory about crazy lady. I think she tells Jacob & Man in Black (whose name I believe to be Esau) not to go into the cave of light because she has been there & it changed her into this crazy person.
~Seeing the good & bad that Jacob & Man in Black do really blurs the line of who is good & who is evil!
~So many questions were answered, like the donkey wheel & the bottle of wine. Grateful for those answers.
~Man in Black killing crazy lady is also reminiscent of Ben killing Jacob! The knife right into the heart.
~It was hard to fathom that Jacob is who created the Smoke Monster. Still trying to reconcile how Man in Black is dead, but that the Smoke Monster has all the knowledge & memories of Man in Black.
~And then the Adam & Eve question answered!
~I was left wanting so much more! I couldn't believe the hour passed so quickly.
~That's all for this week. Can't wait for the next new episode! I'd love to hear your thoughts & theories on anything I've written about or something you think I might have missed.

There's my thoughts for what it's worth. Tune in Tuesday for LOST 6X16 "What They Died For".

LOST 6X14 (The Candidate)

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

The icon paintings in my LOST posts for this season were painted by Scott Erickson of The Transpire Project for Chris Seay's book The Gospel According to LOST.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 6X14, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 6, Episode 14 - The Candidate
~In all of LOST, I have never cried as much as I did watching this episode.
~Interesting play on words when in the flash sideways Jack tells Locke that he is a candidate for surgery, since Locke was a candidate on the Island until he died.
~Jack's insistence to stay on the Island has me puzzled. Wonder if the Island will be the only safe place in the world if Not John is able to leave?
~And back to the cages, deja vu, no?
~Still trying to figure out the Catch a Falling Star song that we heard from Claire's music box. This is the 5th time we've heard it now all in relation to Claire &/or Aaron. I think it has a deeper meaning, just not sure what it is.
~Was not very surprised when Kate got shot. I fear she may be another who gets killed before the finale.
~It took me almost 24 hours to realize that Sayid died since I was so caught up in Sun & Jin. I think his sacrifice of his life may have been his attempt to redeem himself for all the bad he has done.
~And then, Sun & Jin. I understand now why they didn't make Sun & Jin's reunion as big of a deal as I thought they should have. The dialogue was simply beautiful: “Jin, you have to go” “no, I can do this” “no you can’t” “please go” “I won’t leave you” “I will get you out of here” “go, go, please go” “I won’t leave you, I will never leave you again, I love you Sun” “I love you”. And then their hands drift apart. I'm crying now as I type this. I can't believe they are gone!
~That's all for this week. Can't wait for the next new episode! I'd love to hear your thoughts & theories on anything I've written about or something you think I might have missed.

There's my thoughts for what it's worth. Tune in Tuesday for LOST 6X15 "Across the Sea".

LOST 6X13 (The Last Recruit)

Time for my thoughts on this week's episode. There are numerous sites that do recaps so I'm not going to necessarily do that, but I am going to share my thoughts on what happened.

The icon paintings in my LOST posts for this season were painted by Scott Erickson of The Transpire Project for Chris Seay's book The Gospel According to LOST.

*****SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED 6X13, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED!*****

Season 6, Episode 13 - The Last Recruit
~I was pretty let down by this episode. In my opinion, only the last 5 minutes were helpful. Oh well, you can't have a winner every week!
~So we finally know for sure how these apparent dead people are showing back up on the island. I figured it had something to do with the smoke monster, but it's nice to have that confirmation.
~Interesting quote from Claire when talking to Jack, "you decided the moment you let him talk to you just like the rest of us, whether you like it or not, you’re with him now". Not sure if I'm sold on that though. More comment to come in a few.
~Very cool for Jack & Claire to find each other in the flash sideways. All these connections from the island that are showing up in the flash sideways lead me to believe that they all have an important part to play in each other's lives, island or no island.
~The exchange between Desmond & Sayid at the well was interesting as well. As messed up as Sayid appears to be, I know Desmond's question, "this woman when she asks you what you did to be with her again, what will you tell her", got to him.
~Jack's logic in his discussion with Sawyer has me confused. "I remember how I felt last time I left, like a part of me was missing, we were brought here because we’re supposed to do something, if that thing wants us to leave, maybe it’s afraid of what happens if we stay." He is searching so hard for something to believe in. I bet he's really missing Locke, the real John, at this point.
~Although I was thrilled for Sun & Jin to find each other again, I missed the traditional slow motion, run on the beach, dramatic music type scene.
~OK, back to what I was talking about before. Not John says, "Jack, are you alright, don’t worry, it’s going to be ok, you’re with me now!" I think it's got to be about more than just letting Not John speak to him, Jack. It has be a conscious decision. I just don't buy this.
~That's all for this week. Can't wait for the next new episode, actually kind of relieved not to have one this coming week since I'm on call again! I'd love to hear your thoughts & theories on anything I've written about or something you think I might have missed.
