Bullet Point Sunday

It's been a few week since I've done this with all the stuff that's been going on.

I can't believe it's already March. Where is this year going?

Less than a week until our Spring Break getaway vacation & I sure need it!

I'm finally caught up with all the schoolwork I missed while being gone for 5 class days.

Lent is going well for me. Only had a caffeine headache the first night & I haven't missed the Diet Coke's since then. Today was the first day I thought about wanting meat (it's hard to find a fast food place to go that has something without meat in it), but was able to get an egg & cheese burrito and that was really good.

Got a few good recipes today that I would love to have right now. Yes, that's me saying that, the non-cooker. LOL!

I'm beyond excited to read that Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls will be guest starring on ER. Two of my favorites are coming together!

Two funnies happened in regards to church this week. First, both our pastor & our teaching pastor thought they were preaching this morning. Russ caught it on Friday when they both emailed him what they were preaching on as Russ leads the discussion group during our community time. For a few minutes, we debated not telling them and letting them duke it out this morning to determine who would get to preach, but we did email them to tell them. Very funny!

Other funny was the little girl in the kid's class that I taught this morning. I asked the kids if they knew what Lent is. A couple of the kids suggested a couple of things. Then this little girl pipes up that she knows what Lent is - it's the fuzzy stuff she gets to clean out of the dryer. LOL!!!!! I told her she was correct, that wasn't the Lent I was thinking of, but she was correct. Her mom & dad got a kick out of it when I told them. They said she is OCD about cleaning the lint out of the dryer!

We are considering giving up cable tv. Our one stumbling block is locating a couple of coupons for the digital converter boxes so that we could still get the network stations. If we do this, we will be able to use that money we are spending on cable to pay off our last credit card 7 months sooner.

The comments are still open on my Ask Me Anything blog post. I'll get responses to the questions asked in the next day or so, so if you have a question, get it posted soon.

Guess that's about it for now, have a great week everyone! Thanks for living life with me through my blog!

  1. CC, email me your snail mail addy and I'll send you a coupon. I think we still have one. Our pastor and his wife gave us one, but we have digital tuners on both our dvd player and tv. So we don't need it.

  2. The flat screens shouldn't require converter boxes. You should disconnect the cable, get a digital antenna (maybe even a high def antenna) and see what you can find. You might be surprised

  3. @Toby - we need them for the older tv's we have, the one in the living room will be fine, but we have older tv's in the 2 bedrooms

  4. I think I have a coupon too. If I have one, I'll slip it into the package I'm mailing out to you this week.
