The 30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 1

The30DayBlogChallenge
Welcome to Day 1 of The 30 Day Blog Challenge hosted by me, C.C., here at I'm On My Way and my online BFF Jamee at A New Kind of Normal. Today's assignment is to post a blog post of a photo of yourself and a description of how your day was. Make sure you grab the 30 Day Blog Challenge button (use the code that's in the box below) to post in your blog post and once you publish your blog post, enter your link below so we can look at each other's posts.

Well, here's my photo for today. I'm not at all happy with it (other than the boots, I'm really loving my cute new boots!). Really struggling to figure out a way to exercise when I'm in such bad pain already. :(

Now, as for a description of my day: stayed up just past midnight watching a movie with Russ to ring in 2012. Slept for a few hours and then got up to get ready for church. Went to church with Russ and Damaris. Those of yall who know me in real life in recent years know that a part of my worship is keeping my hands busy with knitting. So I worked on baby Wyatt's Christmas stocking for my parents' home (by the time I finished his baby blanket, I didn't have time to get it done for this past Christmas, but it will be ready for next year!). After church, we came home and had beans and cornbread for lunch with my parents and my sister and her family. I laid down and took a nap while Russ and Damaris watched Dr. Who. When I woke up, I got some snuggle time in with baby Wyatt before my sister's family went home. Since then, I've been watching episodes of MacGyver with Russ and Damaris while working on computer stuff. Pretty lazy day which I was I needed since I'm in a lot of pain right now.

What about you? Have you joined the challenge yet?

  3. You only have to do it one place because the same linky is on both of our sites. :)

  4. Mmm cornbread. There is nothing like beans and cornbread, unless it is stewed tomatoes and cornbread.

I'm so envious of you knowing how to knit. I'm hoping to learn in 2012.

Everyone needs a lazy day sometimes, but I'll pray for you finding some relief from the pain.

Nice to meet you and happy New Year!

  5. You already knew I was a dork, right? :-D

Lovin' the boots there, mama! And I feel your pain when it comes to exercise, believe me. I'm going to start looking into (don't laugh) water aerobics class intended for older people. I'm only 41 but it's better than nothing, I figure. And our Y has a wheelchair lift so I'm set from that angle.

  6. My mom was even so awesome as to make gluten free cornbread for me. Yum!

I taught myself to knit back in '05 from a kit I bought at Walmart. Planning to learn to crochet the same way this year!

    Great to meet you too!

  7. You're not a dork!!!!! Damaris and I have the same boots but different colors and since she now wears my shoe size, we can share. :)

I was just looking on Netflix streaming and found a couple of yoga videos that are for people with pain. Going to try them. I did a water aerobics class that was all older people when we first moved here, but the pool wasn't heated and I was freezing, so I stopped going. :(
