Update to the Major Life Update

I posted probably a couple of weeks ago about our Major Life Update. I guess I should probably give an update to what's happening. Thus far, no jobs have worked out for us no matter where we have looked. So, although we obviously have not given up looking for jobs, we are going to have an extended visit at my parents' home in New Mexico in the mean time. Russ and I haven't seen my parents in gosh, over 2 years, probably close to 2.5 years. Damaris obviously just saw them since she spent all of July with them. Another bonus is that my sister, brother-in-law, and niece (and nephew on the way, due in December) just recently moved a mile away from my parents. We are so excited to get to spend some time with family. Russ will be looking for work. If it's a job he really enjoys, we'll reassess whether to stay in New Mexico and find our own place to live or to continue looking elsewhere. We are planning for me to not work and just rest. We are praying that my body, mind, and spirit will experience great healing through time to rest and hopefully having a great amount of Sabbath. I will be homeschooling Damaris, but I am beyond excited about that. Damaris is looking forward to seeing my family again and spending some more time with them. So, 2 weeks from now, we hope to have driven halfway there and drive the other half on Friday. All our stuff is going into storage since we have to be out of our apartment no later than 9/2. Pray for us as we finish packing things up, finish our residencies at the hospital (I will be working 96 hours in my last 1.5 weeks there - that's 3 on-calls for anyone who is counting), and getting on the road to New Mexico. Our life is an adventure, but I'd rather an adventure than to sleep my way through life (well, I could use an extended nap - maybe a week or so - but then I'd be tired of sleeping! LOL!).
